I was on the committee for Blue and Gold this year. Since I'm the crafty one, I was in charge of centerpieces. Last year, we made chocolate suckers. They were a huge hit, but unfortunately we didn't have enough time to do that this year. I came up with these paw prints and fleur de lis for the jars. You can download the paw print SVG at the end of the post.

We used pint jars and covered them with blue tissue paper. We tied blue and gold ribbon around the top and fluffed and cut the tissue paper to make it pouffy. We made these last year, and I am happy to say that the tissue paper held up very well in storage. We just had to fluff a few of them back up. That saved us a lot of time this year.
I die cut 3" scalloped circles from the Accent Essentials Cricut Cartridge. I cut two for each jar because we were gluing them to skewer sticks. I also cut two 2" paw prints for each jar, which I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut. You can download the free paw print SVG file at the end of the post. I ran the paw prints through my Xyron and stuck them to the scalloped circles. I then cut out three sets of fleur de lis for each jar, which was also from the Accent Essentials cartridge.
I used a tape runner to go around the scalloped circle almost completely the whole way around, leaving room for the skewer stick.
I stuck both sides together, lining up the scallops. Then I slid the stick inside.
For the fleur de lis, I used tape runner on the three fatter parts and down the center.
I put the stick inside and press the top fleur de lis in place.
We filled the jars 3/4 full with corn to stick the skewers in to so they wouldn't fall over. Corn was easier to clean than sand, and we had it for our chickens anyway. You could also use blocks of Styrofoam.
