How to make a sugar skull Dollar Tree Halloween wreath. With just $4 in supplies, you'll have an adorable and very easy wreath for your front door.
I live in a rural area, so the closest Dollar Tree used to be half an hour away. We got one in the town closest to me last year.
It was worth the wait to get a closer store. It's one of the larger ones in the area, and bigger than the ones in the larger town.
I love going in to see what's new, especially in the seasonal and craft aisles. This year, it was time to update my Halloween wreath.
I live half a mile from the road, so I don't make a wreath for my front door since no one will see it. Instead, I make wreaths for above my fireplace.
My Halloween wreath had seen better days, and this is what I came up with this year.
Sugar Skull Dollar Tree Halloween Wreath
Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love the fun of getting dressed up and the cute decorations.
We are more into the cute and fun colors than the scary part of Halloween in my house.
When I was at Dollar Tree a few weeks ago, they had some sugar skull items that I knew would be perfect for a wreath.
Dollar Tree Supplies
I got everything for this Halloween wreath from Dollar Tree. Not all Dollar Trees have the same items, so you might have to shop around.
Wreath Form
I used a 10 inch foam wreath form. They have these all year in the craft section.
You can also get some white wreath forms that are slightly bigger on Amazon.
Scarf
I used a scarf with a colorful sugar skull pattern. I bought two of them; one to wrap around the wreath and one for the bow.
I don't see them on the Dollar Tree website, but you can find sugar skull scarves on Amazon.
Sugar Skull
Finally, I added a sugar skull to the from. The one I got from Dollar Tree had a stand on the back, but these sugar skulls are similar in size.
Dollar Tree had some really cute stuff for Halloween this year! Check out these Dollar Tree Halloween decorations for more inspiration:

Sugar Skull Dollar Tree Halloween Wreath Supplies
- 10 inch foam wreath form
- 2 sugar skull scarves
- 1 9-inch wood sugar skull decoration
- glue gun
Directions
Step #1
Start by wrapping the scarf around your wreath form. I used tape to hold it in place so I could redo it a few times as needed to adjust it. This also helped it lay flat.
The scarf is very wide. I did not fold it and just keep wrapping.
Step #2
Use hot glue to attach the end of the scarf to the wreath form.
Step #3
Tie the second scarf around the top of the wreath. Tie in a bow.
Step #4
Remove the stand from the wooden sugar skull. Lay it over the wreath to see where you to add glue.
Glue the back of the sugar skull and press down onto the wreath until the glue hardens.
That's it! This one was of the easiest wreaths that I've ever made.
