Looking for a fun Valentine's Day treat or dessert? These fruit marshmallow kabobs are easy to make, fun to eat, and taste delicious. While they do have a chocolate drizzle, it's a better choice than a sugary dessert or solid chocolate.
Valentine's Day is synonymous with chocolate. Each year, my daughter makes chocolate covered strawberries, and they are delicious.
This year, we are putting a little spin on the classic recipe and making fruit kabobs with chocolate drizzle.
These fruit skewers chocolate and marshmallow are so easy to make, even kids can help prepare them. We used a strawberry, marshmallows, and chocolate drizzle to make ours, but you can get creative with different fruits.
This pairs well with my Valentine's Day martini recipe.

Bananas can turn brown, so if you are using bananas put them on just before serving your fruit skewers chocolate.
Can You Prepare Fruit Kabobs the Night Before?
Yes, you can prepare these fruit kabobs with marshmallows if you'll be using them within 12 hours. If they are for after dinner, then it's probably best to make them the morning that you'll be eating them.
You can also sprinkle them with fruit protector. This fruit protector has no artificial flavors or colors.
How Do You Display Fruit Kabob?
You can get as fancy as you'd like! These fruit kabobs with chocolate drizzle look pretty on a tray or platter. You can also stand them up in a cup so people can grab one.
For a natural display, stick them in a pineapple or even in a watermelon.

How to Melt Chocolate For Fruit Kabobs With Chocolate Drizzle
Normally, I don't microwave chocolate for melting because it can burn. However, this is a small amount that isn't poured into a mold so I will sometimes microwave it.
You can either put the chocolate in a bowl and microwave on high in 30 second intervals or use the Wilton Melt and Decorate bottle. You can melt the chocolate and drizzle it in one bottle to make these fruit skewers chocolate.
Otherwise, melt the chocolate in a bowl and use a spoon to drizzle it over the fruit marshmallow kabobs.
Best Chocolate for Chocolate Drizzle
Usually, I'm really picky about using chocolate wafers. But again, we aren't pouring this. Chocolate chips or even a solid candy bar are just fine for these fruit kabobs with chocolate drizzle.
Skewers
I used a shorter 6 inch skewer to make my fruit kabobs with marshmallows. You can use a 12 inch skewer and cut them in half if you want to.
If you make these a lot, you might want to get an 8 inch metal skewer to reuse them.
