A free SVG file to make a reusable shopping bag for Aldi grocery store! This is a cute bag that uses heat transfer vinyl, a die cutter, and a heat press to make a cute gift or keep it for yourself.
I forget my grocery bags more times than I'd care to admit. Like all the time.
My stepmom does too, so I made her this cute reusable shopping bag for her Aldi trips.
I guess you could use it anywhere, but I like the cute saying on this one. I forget it Aldi time. Get it?
I crack myself up sometimes.

Reusable Bag
I used a black cotton tote to make my Aldi grocery bag. It measured about 13x13, and it's just the right size for carrying groceries without getting too heavy.
These bags are pretty easy to find. If you are using Siser Easyweed heat transfer vinyl, then make sure your bag is 100 percent cotton, 100 percent polyester, or a blend.
If you are using a different brand, check to make sure it's compatible with the vinyl that you're using.
You can get blank grocery bags from one of the following places:
Heat Transfer Vinyl
I always use Siser Easyweed heat transfer vinyl. I've tried other brands, but I don't think that they cut and weed as well as Siser does.
I usually get my vinyl from Expressions Vinyl. They run sales often, and they usually have the best price.
Heat Press
I have both a heat press and a Cricut Easy Press. I like both of them for different applications.
For shirts and things that get washed, I always use my heat press. For bags and other things that don't get washed as often, I use my Cricut Easy Press.
One benefit of the Easy Press is that it heats up quickly. It's also small, so as soon as it's cool I can stash it on a shelf and save valuable table space.
Die Cutter
I have an older Cricut Expression and a Silhouette Cameo. Both are good cutters, but I use my Silhouette more than the Cricut.
Again, my Cricut is older, so that definitely makes a difference. I'll upgrade when they stop working. Until then, I'll get as much use out of them as I can.
I use Sure Cuts a Lot to make my SVG files. I'm not a fan of either software, and I find SCAL easier to use. Note that SCAL doesn't work with Cricut anymore. Mine is old, and I haven't updated the firmware.

You will need to mirror this file for heat transfer vinyl.
I have it sized for the tote that I used, or you can easily resize it.

How to Make a Reusable Shopping Bag With HTV
To make the reusable Aldi grocery bag, simply follow the manufacturer's instructions for your vinyl. For Siser Easyweed, set your heat press to 305 degrees Fahrenheit and press for 10 to 15 seconds. Peel hot or cold.
Don't forget to prepress your bag first so it irons it and gets out any excess moisture.
I hope you enjoy this Aldi grocery store bag SVG file!
