Air Fryer Donuts From Biscuits
We used to make canned biscuit glazed doughnuts on the stove, but it uses a lot of oil. It's not really ideal for mornings before school either.
I also make baked pumpkin doughnuts with cinnamon sugar in the fall. Last fall, I made apple donut holes in the air fryer.

Air Fryer Donut Glaze
For glazed donuts, combine:

- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (make homemade vanilla extract or make Instant Pot vanilla extract)
- 4 tablespoons hot water
Then dip your warm air fryer donuts with biscuits in the glaze and set them on a cooling rack until the glaze hardens.
You can also make a maple glaze with 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 5 tablespoons maple syrup.
Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Donuts Topping
To make a cinnamon sugar topping, combine 1 teaspoons ground cinnamon and 1/2 cup white sugar. Spray the air fried donut with oil or brush with butter. Dip into the cinnamon sugar mixture.

To make a chocolate glaze for your air fryer donuts with biscuits, you will need:
- 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Place all the ingredients in a small pan. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly. When it's melted, drizzle the glaze over your air fryer doughnuts.
How to Store Air Fried Donuts
These air fryer donuts from biscuits are best served right away. Let them rest for about 10 minutes after you add the glaze or the cinnamon sugar.
Store leftover biscuit donuts in air fryer in an airtight container for 1 to 2 days. I don't store them in the fridge because they can get soggy, especially if you glazed them.
You can also freeze leftover air fryer donuts from biscuits. I recommend freezing them plain and reheating them in the air fryer just before serving. Then add the cinnamon sugar or glaze.
I love these reusable freezer bags for baked goods since the bags are easy to clean for the next time.
