How to make jenga block snowman hat with Dollar Tree supplies. This is a cute Dollar Tree ornament DIY for kids or for adults, and you can make several with one box of tumbling tower blocks from the dollar store.
Top Hat Dollar Tree Ornament DIY
I'm always looking for cute but inexpensive craft ideas for my girl scout troop to make. I love making Jenga block Christmas crafts because you get so many in a box at Dollar Tree.
You can make 24 of these top hat ornaments from one box of blocks! You'll need a few other supplies, but that's still a very inexpensive craft for a group of kids.
Black top hat ornaments are easy to make for kids, or you can make them for a fun craft night for adults. Since you can make so many of them with one pack of blocks, it's an inexpensive way to make stuff for a snowman themed tree.

Dollar Tree Tumbling Towers Crafts
Tumbling Towers is Dollar Tree's version of Jenga Blocks. They are the same shape as Jenga blocks, but they are a bit smaller.
You get 72 blocks for just $1.25, so they are popular for Jenga block Christmas crafts.
You can find them at Dollar Tree with the games, or you can order them from Dollar Tree online. You can order as few as three sets online and have them shipped to your home.
You can also get them shipped from Amazon. You'll pay a little more, but it's still a steal to make several Jenga block ornaments DIY.
Alternately, you can buy plain wood blocks on Etsy or use real Jenga blocks. Note that real Jenga blocks are bigger than the blocks in Tumbling Towers, so your snowman top hat ornaments will be bitter if you use the real blocks.
I used Dollar Tree Jenga blocks to make the following crafts:
- Jenga Wood Block Pumpkin
- Dollar Tree Calendar Magnets
- Wooden Block Snowman
- Dollar Tree Jenga Block Christmas Tree
Snowman Top Hat Ornaments Variations
I made my Jenga block snowman hat pretty basic with black paint and twine, but here are some variations that you can do:
- Instead of painting the blocks, cover with red and black check fabric or black and white check fabric.
- Use a toothbrush to "spray" on white paint or add fake snow.
- Use buffalo check ribbon instead of twine.
- Cover with glitter Mod Podge for sparkles or fake snow effect.
- Use a Cricut or Silhouette to die cut words like Believe to cover the top hat.
- Add holly instead of a bow.
These top hat ornaments would be cute with these snowman mason jar lid ornaments!

How to Make Snowman Top Hat Ornaments
Step #1
Use hot glue to attach two blocks along the long edges. Then glue a block horizontally on the bottom, centering the top two blocks.
Step #2
Use the black paint to paint the front, sides, and back (if you want to) of the black top hat ornaments. Use two coats of paint and let dry completely before moving on.
Step #3
Add a dot of hot glue to the back of the Jenga block snowman hat and wrap the jute twine around the hat. I wrapped it three times. Trim the ends and use hot glue to secure the end.
Then cut a 6 inch section of twine and use hot glue to attach it to the back of snowman top hat ornaments to make a hanger.
Step #4
Use hot glue to attach a bow to the front of the Dollar Tree ornament DIY.
That's it! That's all you need to do to make Jenga block Christmas ornaments. You can paint them different colors or use different ribbons to accessorize.

I really enjoyed your top hat! So clever and cute! I used the blocks to make a snowman: painted one block white, put a face on it, three buttons and a top hat made out some black packing material. Added a hanger made out of a pull tab on a can: hung them on the wall near the kitchen sink and in the bathrooms three in a row. They brought a smile to everyone who noticed
