 This chocolate covered strawberry martini recipe is a delicious dessert cocktail for Valentine's Day.  It's easy to make, and it's delicious with dinner or as a dessert.  Rim the glasses with frosting and candy heart sprinkles for a romantic Valentine's Day martini.

I made my chocolate strawberry alcohol drink for Valentine's Day with red heart candies to line the rim.  However, you can use red sugar for Valentine's Day or any day.

What is a Chocolate Martini Made Of?

Traditionally, a martini is made with either vodka or gin.  However, this chocolate dipped strawberry martini uses strawberry cream Tequila Rose and chocolate flavored vodka.

I also added strawberry milk to make it creamier and give it more of a strawberry flavor.

What is the Best Chocolate Liqueur for Chocolate Martini?

I like using a chocolate vodka to make this chocolate covered strawberry martini recipe.

• 360 Double Chocolate Flavored Vodka
• Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
• Dorda Double Chocolate Liqueur
• Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka

Chocolate Strawberry Martini Ingredients

Here's what you need to make this Valentine's Day martini:

• Tequila Rose - I used Strawberry Cream Tequila Rose.  I like that it's available in a small bottle so I didn't have to buy a large bottle.
• Chocolate Vodka - Again, I grabbed a small bottle from the liquor store.  I didn't want to buy a big bottle that I might not use until next year.
• Strawberry Milk - You can buy a small bottle of premade strawberry milk or make your own with Nesquik strawberry powder.  
• Frosting - This is to line the rim of the glass.  You can make your own or use a can of frosting.  I like vanilla or strawberry frosting.
• Candy Sprinkle Hearts - I got some larger flat red heart sprinkles.  You can also use red sugar or Valentine's Day sprinkles.

How to Make Chocolate Covered Strawberry Martini

Step #1

Coat the rim of a martini glass with frosting.  You can either dip the glass in the frosting or use the back of a spoon.

Step #2

Stick the candy hearts on the rim for decoration.

Step #3

Add ice cubes to a cocktail shaker.  Pour in the tequila rose, chocolate vodka, and strawberry milk.  Shake well.

Step #4

Pour the chocolate dipped strawberry martini into the glass.  Garnish with a sliced strawberry if desired.
