How to make a grapevine succulent wreath. This artificial succulent wreath is made with Dollar Tree supplies, so it's easy to make on a budget. Use a thrifted grapevine wreath for inexpensive door decor for spring or summer.
Faux Succulent Wreath
Even though there's snow on the ground, I'm wishing for spring and summer weather. The snow is pretty for a few days, but I'm ready for sunshine and warmer weather.
Maybe if I switch my wreath to a spring and summer wreath the warmer weather will follow?
I know it won't really work, but I made an artificial succulent wreath anyway.
List most of my DIY projects, this is a Dollar Tree home decor idea using succulents and other supplies from the dollar store.

Do Succulent Wreaths Last?
This one does! I made a faux succulent wreath.
A succulent wreath DIY with real plants is beautiful, but I don't have much of a green thumb for house plants.
Who Has the Most Realistic Faux Plants?
I got mine at Dollar Tree to make a large faux succulent wreath. They have several loose succulents available in the floral or wreath making section.
Although they are not the most realistic faux succulents that I've ever seen, they are really nice for the price.
I used them for my citronella water candle and a succulent essential oil diffuser.
You can also find realistic looking succulents on Etsy or Amazon. Each set has a different look, so you can get succulent wreath ideas with different colors.
How Do You Attach Succulents to a Wreath?
I used hot glue to attach the plants to make a faux succulent wreath. The glue holds well, but I like that I can then pop off the plants.
I change wreaths often, so I like to be able to remove the supplies to reuse them.
How Many Succulents Do You need For a Wreath?
I used 13 faux plants to make this Dollar Tree succulent wreath. I used an 18 inch grapevine wreath. Using the moss allowed me to fill in areas so I used fewer plants.

Faux Succulent Wreath DIY Supplies
You will need the following to make a Dollar Tree succulent wreath:
- 18 inch grapevine wreath - I grab these at thrift stores, but you can also get one from a craft store or Amazon
- Hot glue gun and hot glue
- Moss - I used reindeer moss from Dollar Tree (also available on Etsy)

How Do You Make a Fake Succulent Wreath?
Step #1
Place the succulents on the wreath where you'd like them before you glue them. This will help you with spacing. I only wanted to cover half of the wreath, but you can add more or less. Then use hot glue to attach the faux succulents to the grapevine wreath.
Step #2
Fill in empty spots with the reindeer moss. I used hot glue. Be careful and use hot glue pads or a pencil to move the moss so you don't burn your fingers.
I also added some moss at the end of the succulents for more depth.
That's it! Now you know how to make a grapevine succulent wreath. This is a pretty basic wreath, but I love how it came out!
