Candy Corn Cookies Recipe
Halloween is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than by baking a batch of delicious Candy Corn Cookies?
Candy corn is probably the most iconic candy of the fall season, and it's enjoyed from August to November. It tends to get a lot of strong opinions.
Personally, I don't like eating candy corn plain. However, I do like it in these easy fall cookies. I also really like freeze dried candy corn because it gets crunchy.

Candy Corn Cookies Ingredients
I used a box of cake mix to make cake mix cookies. I buy cake mixes with coupons, so they are cheaper than making desserts from scratch. Try one of these cake mix hacks to see how to transform a box of cake mix.
Since we are making easy fall cookies with a cake mix, you only need the following ingredients:
- Cake Mix: I used a 15.25 ounce box of yellow cake mix. Note that some companies are shrinking their packaging, so their boxes have less product.
- Oil: Using oil keeps these candy corn cookies moist.
- Eggs
- Candy Corn: You can use your favorite brand of candy corn.
Candy Corn Sugar Cookies Variations
I made easy Halloween cake mix cookies with just a few ingredients, but you can try adding some variations:
- You can make the sugar cookies from scratch with your favorite recipe.
- Add fall sprinkles on top of the cookies before baking.
- Use edible glitter for fun shimmery cookies.
- Add white chocolate chips to the cookie dough before baking.
- Dip the edges of the cookies in melted chocolate.
- Bake in a 9x13 pan for candy corn cookie bar cookies.
- Candy corn will melt in the cookies if you add them before baking. You can add some pieces to the dough to get the flavor and then add more on top after they bake.
- Try using different flavored candy corn like caramel apple candy corn or blackberry cobbler candy corn.

How to Make Candy Corn Cookies Recipes
Step #1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step #2
Combine the cake mix, eggs, and oil in a large bowl. Stir well until it forms a soft dough.
Step #3
Use a cookie scoop to place rounded scoops of dough onto the parchment paper on the baking sheet. Space the cookies about 3 inches apart so they have room to spread.
Step #4
Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and place 3 pieces of candy corn on top of the cookies while they are still warm. Press the candy corn gently into the cookie. Let cookies cool for a few minutes then transfer to a cooling rack.
I hope you enjoy these easy fall cookies!
